I was given a Canadian Marconi CP34 hf backback radio by a friend
this weekend. Its in nice working order. Now I have to figure some
things out about it.It is crystal controled with 18 channels and
trimers to split TX/RX freqs if desired.Right now it has Canadian
gov freqs in six of the xtal slots in the 80M and 60M bands.I'm
wondering what range of freqs it is designed to operate in.I need to
find out the IF freq to buy crystals to put it on amateur freqs.
I'm looking for any and all information on this rig.It also has a
built in manual ATU with a nicly made roller inductor and mount for
a whip antenna as well a bnc antenna connector. Sould be a fun
project to modify for amateur radio use.....
If anyone has any information, documents or schematics for this rig,
I would be happy to pay for copies..

John
