Instead of using the relatively compact and lightweight DY-88/GRC-9 (6/12/24 vdc input) or DY-105/GRC-9X (24 vdc input only), go for the gusto with the AN/GRC-9's biggest boatanchor vibrator power supply in all of human history, the PE-237.  At 88 lbm, it weighs fully 50 lbm more than the dynamotor/vibrator DY-88 or -105.  :-)

Seriously though, what was the problem you encountered?  Did you try to connect power through the CN-690/GRC-109 regulator box?  I've been thinking about building a compact AC supply (smaller than the normal PP-2684 or -2685/GRC-109 supplies) that I could connect to the CN-690's cable plug that would normally go to the G-43.  I've got the PP-2684 and -2685, but it would be neat (IMO) to set up the field version of the set, without having to use the G-43.
