Another thing popped out of the box this morning.  It's a Control Box BC-1314 made by Bendix.  May be part of the SCR-522 etc series.  Has two connectors on it.  One end has the mate for a PL-169 and on the bottom a 4 pin plug which mates with an AN-3057-6 connector.   On on end are 3 screw down connectors like for the attachment of some sort of control or wire line and on the front is a 4 position switch, a volume control and another switch that sez send-rec-send.  The cable with the AN connector still has the original cordage attached to it with a tag that says M.F.P. August 1945, brown cloth covered.  Since the switch shows 4 channels, i'm wondering if it might have been for the T-23, no? Yes? Hmmmmm.  WHat other radio may have had 4 channel capacity.  ALl this looks original from the outside.
