Now, are you quite sure the BC-611 was NOT in on this?
I have seen 1, maybe 2 photos of GIs sitting in the C-46's (?),
paratroops, with one holding a BC-611. I do not know how it
was otherwise fastened to the jumper's body.
Local fellow in Seattle had a BC-611 he found as a youngster
in Holland - discarded after another campaign, Arnhem, because
the antenna was broken. It bore added camoflouge paint. Nice
toy for a boy to find in a ditch and bring home, along with the
armed bazooka he took home, and fired.
