[Milsurplus] SCR-508?

Tried and tried to comprehend it, but can only see the Navy and CG units
working shore to LCU-LST on BC-611 to TCS or other HF AM radios on those
crafts, but just can not see the navy using the SCR-508, somewhere their
had to be a transition from the Army tactical FM to Navy AM. maybe all
navel artillery support was by signal lamp? When were the first Army
SCR-199 / 299 systems on the beach?
