Rangers somehow got it to navy that 6" Pt du Hoc guns outa pic.
This so destroyer* cud save Omaha beach forces.

Paratroopers, not Rangers, separately called in navy att'ly for axis rockets
('schnitter?')  Reportedly w. one of "only working radios on Omaha."

Meir, d'ya think the Army Rangers & paratroops carried TBXs to
work 60-80 TBSs?  No marines involved.  I'd go fer the BC659 backpacks.

LSTs had lotsa SCR-60x sets later in war.  These FM w. BC-659s fb.

SCR-60x reportedly to talk/hear Army att'ly in landing zones.  LST'd 
keep a BC1000 @ ready too.  BC1000, 38-48, only talked to another
(infantry) BC-1000 then.  Plenty 'o pix on LST325 to confirm. presence
of both sets
