Hi

An AN/URM-32A seems to have followed me home through the rain today. If
the weather channel comes up with a map showing 7 inches of rain over
in New York today you can pretty much trace my entire route to pick it
up. For those few on the list who do not already own several of these
it's the successor to the BC-221 / LM frequency meter. The main
differences seem to be 3X the weight and the addition of a VHF / UHF
capability.

First question - Where can I find can I find a manual for this wonder?
The LOGSA site has calibration data and a parts list but no real manual
for the gizmo. BAMA skips right over this popular item for some odd
reason.

Second question - Who actually made this thing? The outside of the box
says Gruen Industries and order number 32256-P-56. The inside of the
box says Divco-Wayne with the exact same contract number. The power
supply came along later, but I can understand a battery to AC field
conversion. The connection between Gruen and Divco is what I'm
wondering about.

Third question - There is a magic part of the chassis labeled
"Dehydrated compartment do not unseal". It also has a cute little pink
capsule in a glass tube. Is pink good or is pink bad in terms of a
humidity indicator?

If on the off chance there is a dedicated AN/URM-32A mailing list then
I apologize for not posting the questions there ....

	Enjoy!
