I've been using Motorola mics with my military rigs for some time now with 
numbers like TMN6054A, etc.   Plug right into a carbon mic circuit (as long as 
the bias is positive) and sound MUCH better than carbon units.   Haven't noted 
that the output is any greater, though, i.e., additional boost is required 
with rigs like the TCS, BC-375 and BC-141 to get 100% modulation without yelling 
into the mouthpiece.
