[Milsurplus] VOA Overseas historian on here?

Well, slightly OT, but I'm looking for anyone with knowledge of
1950s-1960s VOA operations in the Far East, specifically the Okinawa
Relay Base.  
Surplus content:  There appear to be some milsurplus receivers in the
receiver bays.  Photos aren't clear.  I know neither the megawatt
Continental nor the 100 KW GE transmitters qualify, but maybe the Collins
231-D or the Gates model IX might.
