Marine corps version of the SCR-299 maybe?
OK, a TBM in the back of an M-2-4 -- why not. Would need some weather
protection. Do you remember a canvas top or something? The PE-95 would be
overkill but there were other, smaller trailer mounted generators in use during the
period. We have one down at Ft. Mac.

Yes, I'll bet it was an adventure if you tried to do it by yourself. Weighs
in at about 250 lbs assembled. The manual sez to start out first with the
units upside down. After inserting and locking the two bars in place across the
bottom, the assembly is to be turned right side up and raised up to a height
where the legs can be attached. Sounds like a four-man job, three guys to
lift and one to attach the three legs.
Have you ever fired up your TBW and if so how did it perform? Reason I ask
is that the Navy appears to be drastically over driving the PA. The manual
specifies grid currents of around 40ma while the tube specs call for only 12 ma
on CW and 15 ma when suppressor modulated.
