Hi

The radio runs three 6146's in the output section if I remember right 
(possibly two ..). That gets it a whopping 100 watts output into 50 
ohms on SSB or CW. The antenna tuner that sits next to the radio lets 
you tune most reasonable antennas. I suspect it is good to about a 4:1 
SWR.

They were nice radios in their day. The main knock on them was that the 
comb generator synthesizer generated more spurs than you might expect 
in a military radio. They met all the applicable specifications, but a 
modern rice box probably is better on spurs than a 301.
