USS Salem is home to two TCK's, but Salem, finished near the end of WW2,
was finally commissioned in 1947. It's obvious that the TCK would be on
some later ships of WW2, but more research is needed. Four good candidates
would be the Iowa Class BB's, Iowa, New Jersey, Missouri, and
Wisconsin. However, none of this ships are WW2 intact at present.

Not entirely. TBK was rated 600W output minimum. (vs. 400W for TCK)
No doubt it would have been a decent replacement for TBK anyway, since it's
technology was much more advanced than TBK and perhaps TBK contracts were
done by late WW2.

Hey.... I'm scramblin' to get mine on.... but "ya gotta be patient."
(again quoting Willy and Joe from Bill Mauldin's "Up Front.") :-)
