[Milsurplus] TCK transmitter

Hello,
I am looking for information on the natural habitat of this transmitter. 
Does anyone know of any that were installed during WWII?  Mine is a very
early one, serial number 14, accepted by Navy 6/7/43, but the tag does not
have a date for "placed in service".  Seems like some ships that were
fitted in 1944/45 would be candidates, but I haven't identified any yet.

Since its ratings match the TBK, I believe the TCK was intended as a
replacement for that big, beautiful beast.

Anyone else have one on the air?  I'd love to hear how yours sounds.
