Lloyd and Group:
Switchcraft Engineering Design Guide calls these "MIL-TYPE 1/4" TWIN
PHONE PLUGS". Mentions Specification MIL-P-642(A), available as #411,
two independent 2 conductor plugs, long handle = M642/91, #412 same,
except short handle = MIL PJ 289, WECO 289B, #414, two 3 conductor common
ground long handle = WECO 338A, and #415, two independent 3 conductor
long handle, one 1/4", the other .206" dia. no cross references.
They were still selling these a few years back, as I had to buy them for
a special project. Friend got them from some distributor in L. A.
ALSO, from an earlier query, those funny little screws inside these
various phone and mike plugs appear to be Switchcraft #P1070, and the
little tiny terminals are #P10695.
hope this helps,
George
