[Milsurplus] Question

I have aquired a bunch of connectors I can't identify, and I should remember
what they are (CRS). Each one consists of 2 each standard 1/4" 2 circuit
male phone plugs in a black plastic housing, with the plugs about .625"
apart. Cord comes out other end. Plastic housing is 2.25" long, 1.175 wide
and .56" thick. Plugs extend from housing same length as standard phone
plug. There are no markings or name on them. They could be assembled with
one phone plug in them and you would have a phone plug with a fat handle.
Any ideas? seems I sw these either around Forest Service or a telephone
operation.
