Re the R-648/ARR-41:

Unfortunately, absolutely no evidence for this exists that I've ever seen,
baring simple conjecture by those unfamiliar with USN AN/ARC-38
installations.  Both were USN sets, not USAF.  Also, the AN/ARR-41 has no
provisions for muting during transmit as has the BC-348.
