But the lendlease gear was just supplied in standard US colors, wasn't it?  
The examples we've seen overseas certainly are.
This sounds like a repaint by "someone".

I have seen a couple with additional labels. One had a label saying 
modified for 115/1/60 by Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. I had to give
up that one for a trade. The other, i have still, has an additional plastic
label saying University of Washington Radio Propagation Lab.  I don't
mind those kind of mods that i would call legitimate "versions" of the
-348.
