AVC. Mike right where u sed - p.1111 of my '52 4th ed'n of Radiotron
big red. But I sorta think the triode RFA there was for illustration.
If you go to pg. 942 on RFAs, only pentodes considered

   = = = = = = =

The 348J triode RFA. It's coupled to 2nd pentode RFA via RC shunt-feed
where 15k resistor 'way less than plate resistance so gain low. I think
so-done so 1st stage adds little to system gain but, instead, provides xtra
selectivity 'causa the xtra tuned ckt. Besides, this seems last of series
& there was a giant 348-factory turning all the rest of the '348 system'
at a furious pace & this allowed use of old (6K7, etc designs) w. new (6SK7,
etc. designs). Just a gess, but I bet the right 1. Will provide 10 6J6s
to 1st guy to prove otherwise

I have Clark & Caramba(sp) that has 348 E,M,P diag. & separate diag. for J.
Lucky for support of this thread. Note on E,M,P. Odd suffix-family
coincidence, huh?

   = = = = = = =

Variable mu triodes. Someone once sed the 6C5 upon disection was just a 6K7
w/o a top cap. Metal enclosure supports that theory. I wonder

   = = = = = = =

3/2 power law as applied to several tube designs. Thanks, I needed that!
(no kiddin', was neat story)

There, it's all out

   Marty
