Well, this seems a little fanciful, doesn't it?

I would think this plane, by its date & role, would have ONLY vhf.

The ARB + ATD would seem a natural match, but i don't think anyone's
really seen any evidence the 2 were ever used together, like a photo or
anecdote. Altho the Collins "50 Years" book says something about when
the ATC/ ART-13 appeared, it solved a problem for ? torpedo ? bombers
which had a limited number of channels etc.    When i read this, i assumed
the author referred to the ATD, which lost out to the ATC, apparently.

This HAS to be RU-18.  SBD certainly wouldn't have a liaison-type 
receiver such as the RA-1.

GQ was maybe a USCG set? The CG did have many of their
own specific sets up to at least into the war years.
