Wasn't made by Collins (COL) but by Magnevox (CMX), one of many Collins
subcontractors. Some were also made by Meissner (CML).
I wouldn't put more than a couple of hundred watts into it. It was made for
a transmitter rated at 25 watts output and although your car probably won't be
regularly subjected to salt spray, any antenna that you could put on it
without turning it over would be shorter than the ones usually used with the TCS
(15 to 35 foot whips and up to 60 or 75 foot wires).
