To settle this  I will forward 4 pages of the current FAA AC (advisory
circular) 43.13-1b Section 12 Para 11-158 "Lacing and Ties". I can also post
it to my web site. The cord can be many different materials, including
fibreglass. I have about 5-6 types on hand. Want some white with black
freckles?
