Ron Don etal: Go back and read what Francis Gary Powers had to say about his
communications ability or lack thereof, but specifically in the VERY early
U-2s the KWM-1 was located up behind and above the pilots head, and we
pretty well know that FGP wasn't just up trying to get WAZ or working on his
DXCC. But in fact it was his only long haul comm. ability, at his FL and
this was way before we had JSTRS to help back him up.. mac/mc
