Lotta talk about contact balms & folk rfemedies

Anyone ever try "re-whetting" contacts?  This by disconnecting delicate
stuff like meters & coils then using contacts to turn a 110V 200W
light on & off a few times.

Has worked lots for me & there's no worries of cleaner remedy melting
down inlulation mat'l or making work area a future superfund site.

My take is that contacts oughta go for another 50 years of intermittant use
