Altho i in years past ran the TCS at much higher than spec'd power, i now see
that as really silly. I sure wouldn't do it that way again. If you need more power,
use a bigger radio. Of course, if the manual has an upper limit on battery input
power, you can run the B+ up to that high limit with no feelings of guilt.

But rather than overpowering the set, why not try this neat kink: run it at
250 volts for lower power, as the schematic and manual says is possible.
In other words, same B+ for receiver and transmitter. That makes power supply
construction a piece of cake.
