Gordon, John

My take on reading the sentence was that standardization was more along
the lines of the US and our allies, not so much interservice.

I am confused though as to what is standardized. The system? The equipment?
And why would it be necessary to prefix the designations with a symbol at all?

Did the British have a similar system to the ARR-2 navigation system?

Jack
