Greetings,
If the TDE will tune antennas from 75 to 300 feet long, it must have
settings to  voltage or current feed, so it will probably tune anything
more than an eighth wavelength on the frequency of interest.  This may he=

you, as if you intend to work over a broad area, a long wire may be more
directive than you want on the higher bands, and a whip would help fill i=
n
the gaps above 7MHz.  How far is the transmitter from the deck?  I don't
know much about the structure of an LST.
