I'm attempting to help an OM determine the value of his BA's - some of
which are milsurp. The reports I'm getting so far are both promising and
discouraging ...

Halli SX-73: very nice, rack-mount model, with covers and original manual
but no rack. Currently in use (paired with an H-37). Inflation suggests it
might be worth up to $350 - any good offers?

FR-4/U frequency meter: 86 lb, rackmount, 30 tubes, heterodyne 100kc to
20mc. Has a 2" o'scope for "interpolation". Includes URM-82 parts box,
original manual, and calib. book. Mounted on two hefty, factory-made
aluminum triangles, which make it a table-top unit. I'm thinking of
offering $45, since shipping might cost that much! Anybody else want it?

A thoroughly-perverted ARB: while the owner has good documentation for his
butchery, so much of the original front stuff is missing, and there's a
hole carved in the rear for a power jack, and one in the bottom for he
couldn't remember what, that the original manual is probably worth more
than the unit!
So what's the manual worth?! It, at least, looks good ...

TS-419/U (aka URM-64, HP-614A): a 42-lb, 900mc to 2100mc CW/PM 22-tube
genny. Looks very nice; can't remember if he had docs. Notice the high
frequency, which I typo'd on theporch list (it looks so nice, I wanted this
myself, until I looked it up and noticed the range!) FWIW, the osc. tube
is a 6BM6 klystron.

ME-71A/FCC: WE-made, prob. for the FCC, 20kc to 500kc, 11-tube "portable
tone test detector for open wire carrier telephone systems" unquote. Value?

Many thanks for the responses so far - I hope this guy hasn't been infected
by ebay; he may be in for a rude awakening!	e
