I guess Glyptal would work but it gets real hard and brittle. That is
why it was used as a witness mark on cables and pots. Isn't there a
plastic coating, with a high voltage breakdown, used for bare metal tools
that stays pliable? I would think it would work out better but I don't
know about the cost which is also a consideration.
