Well thank you for that, but the bill wording is unclear and broad,
that's what causes the uproar I suppose. I personally have no interest
in surplus military encryption, etc. Today's computers can do much
better. Frequency hopping is very interesting though, and radio
amateurs have experimented with it. They are required to adhere to a
certain set of sequences though, so as not to obscure, but I am sure
you know it as you signed 73. Years ago, as an experiment, I modified
an old CB radio to hop through the channels. The settling time was far
too slow however, a waste of time. Never tried with newer radios.
Still it's a good idea to let our representatives know where we stand
as collectors. Maybe they'll re-word the bill, but I doubt it.
