[Milsurplus] U-2 and SR-71A

When I was stationed at Eglin we had a F-105 shoot itself down while on the
range.
The mission was to strafe a railway locomotive and climb out. The only
problem was
that the staffing went OK but on the pull out the rounds that ricocheted
hit the
aircraft and caused engine failure. The pilot punched out and was OK but the
result was one deal F-105
