Mike,
The projectiles fired by the F-10 would, initially at least, have a velocity
equal to their muzzle velocity plus that of the aircraft.
In order to be hit by its own slugs, the plane would have to catch up with
them (possible), and follow their trajectory, which seems to me to be
unlikely, as the slugs would follow a downward trajectory as soon as drag
and gravity took effect. In other words, the pilot would have to make an
effort to be shot down by himself.
Does that make sense?
