I apologize for my misinformation on the Dauntless. So the GF/RU, I pulled up
these specs, is this correct?
GF Transmitter (US Navy); Frequency range 3.0 to 4.5 Mhz and 6.0 to 9.05 Mhz.
Power requirement: 14 or 28 VDC.
CW-46051A Receiver, Airborne, 0.195-13.575 MHz, AM and CW, Tuned radio
frequency, Part of <A HREF="http://www.fernblatt.net/m12.html#a2366">RU-4A/GF-3,</A><A HREF="http://www.fernblatt.net/m12.html#a2367">RU-5A/GF-4, </A><A HREF="http://www.fernblatt.net/m12.html#a2368">RU-7/GF-5</A> and <A HREF="http://www.fernblatt.net/m12.html#a2369">RU-13/GF-8.</A> Frequency
range set by plug-in coil sets.
CW-52063A Transmitter, Airborne, 2-4.523 and 6-9.95 MHz, AM and CW, 12 or 24
VDC. Part of <A HREF="http://www.fernblatt.net/m12.html#a2366">RU-4A/GF-3,</A><A HREF="http://www.fernblatt.net/m12.html#a2367">RU-5A/GF-4, </A><A HREF="http://www.fernblatt.net/m12.html#a2368">RU-7/GF-5</A> and <A HREF="http://www.fernblatt.net/m12.html#a2369">RU-13/GF-8. </A>
The frequency range is similar to the BC-375, so my question remains, did
these aircraft normally communicate with the TCS for any type of forward
observation or fire control in say the PTO during WWII?

Mark Tombleson
