Group:
If you receive an email from [email protected] or anyone else with no
message in the body, and an attachment
~$rsuch6.doc.exe
DO NOT OPEN the attachment. Delete the whole thing immediately! Then
delete it from the trash or recycle bin.
Now, consider the following:
I only use this GL4D21 address for the milsurplus reflector and its
users. No other correspondence. I suspect this case was one where the
virus commandeered an address list from *someone* in the milsurplus
group, as happened last year with the Bugbear virus. No one else would
have this email address in their book. So, please use Find to look for
the program name above. If you find it, go to Symantec or McAfee, or
your favorite virus program provider and find a inoculation program to
get rid of it.
We may hear from someone in group in the next few days with a message
about a virus infection. Hope it hasn't done too much damage.
73,
George
