Ken,

Further to what's already been posted, it was intended for beach party use 
for one-way and broadcast messages (like air warning).  Possibly scarce (at 
least in good condition and with all the pieces) but not rare.  The earphones 
were in the same canvas skull-cap as used with the MAB.  Radio and battery 
case went into front pockets of the utilities.  Antenna was a short wire with 
a clamp that attached to the steel helmet.

I have one complete and parts of two more, plus the manual.
