[Milsurplus] How can there be a "re:" without an original

[K3PID]

On occasion I notice a mailing with re:[Milsurplus]something  but I can't
locate the original mailing... And while I am at it, some subjects show the
Re: at the beginning of the line and others show it just after the
[Milsurplus]! What's that all about?

PS: Sri, I am on vacation and waiting for the adhesive to set on the
bathroom tile that I replaced....Thought it would be a good time to catch up
