Tom,

Can't help with the Valiant and actually all I can offer on the CX-1360/U is
some info. Last extra complete cable that I had is long since gone to a new
home.

Making the dry battery cable is relatively simple if you have the connectors
as the cordage itself is nothing special. The 4-pin right angle connector is
UW1220FA11. These turn up from time to time but usually as FA17 of FA21 (the
numbers are the diameter of the cable that the packing gland fits, in 32nd's
of an inch). Same base connector is used on the other two GRR-5 cables, the
R-390/URR AC power cord, the T-195 DC power cord, etc. I'm completely out of
all sizes right now.

The UW1320FA.... will also work functionally but is the cathedral style with
a mechanical cable clamp instead of packing gland for the cable entry.

The connectors for the dry batteries themselves are U-123/U (takes three).
The only other application that I know of was in the CY-590/GRC Battery Case
used in a few AN/PRC... sets with the RT-66/7/8 and 70's. It had five as I
recall. There might have been other apps that I haven't stumbled across. I have
two U-123/U's left.
