Yes, indeed.
I have some Drakes that spent a few years in Hawaii.
They were in a house a mile from the ocean.
The salt-vapor corrosion is very evident.
If you're moving near the coast,
oil and wax everything you can reach
and make yourself heavy slip covers to cover the gear
when not in use.
Good luck with the new job-
extra money can make the trouble of salt-proofing
your rigs bearable.
