If ya look @ the 30x & 40s Handbook designs you'll often see
a tuner intedrvening between the link & the antenna's balanced line.

And there two variable Cs coming off taps on the band-coil for same
tuner.  The series Xc once-removed

Here all my jabbering has been about a unbalanced resistor load.

Now I did say "if you worked for TVA... power factor" about reactance 
cancellation.  No question you can transfer power where, say, Xl is half Xc
(power factor about .7).  But just a power portion.  How to compensate?  Jam 
in more link.

I haven't forgotten "Hue a valid question OK" and will make sure my EE
PhD pal agrees with what I typed
