Wait up a minit, Dave R. I didn't mean to convene a 
vigilante posse. IF ( IF) this is what Dave S. is thinking
of, i am absolutely certain it will be a nondestructive 
graceful, drop-in plug-out enhancement. Some way of
stabilizing the xmtr might not be a bad idea, for working 
to other 11 and 10 meter more modern gear. ( My own
idea for the TBY, just daydreaming here, is to tack solder
a cb or 10 meter 3rd overtone xtal from grid to grid, 
something like that. This could be easily removed. I have
not looked at the schematic for a long time, so i dunno
for sure what if anything else besides the xtal, is required.
