Morning,
I've still got one of these at the site. No interconnect cables.
Never got back to the boat to get them before they went out with
the trash. This one was made by DuBose if I remember correctly.
Transmitter was a modified BC-375. Receiver was of their own design.
Been a while since I looked at it but in general the modifications
consisted of an 813 in the final modulated by a pair of 838's.
Of course there were all kinds of other circuits for speech amps
and oscillator/buffer combinations which I can't remember the
specifics but just remember little modules all over the unit.
Still used a plug in TU well modified. I believe this one had
6 xtal channels. Don't know if they were all painted as this one
but it resembles a splattered gray/black like one saw in car trunks.
Right now it's buried behind several layers of equipment cabinets
so I can't pull it our for other information but looked promising.

Bob,
You might call Grady Seaman over in Bayou LaBatre. It's possible that he
might recall who did the mods. He hauled me all over Mississippi Sound from
6/01 until 2/02 while I was working out of there. He's about our age or
maybe 4 or 5 years older and has skippered shrimp boats, tuna boats,
freighters, pretty much you name it non-military all over the world all of
his life. Very interesting gentleman. His term for the radios may be "HF"
to differentiate from the VHF sets that they mostly use around there today.
As an interesting totally off topic aside, the bayou that forms the south
boundary of his property on Bayou LaBatre is Bayou de la Morte or Bayou of
the Dead, the fictional location of Bubba Shrimp Co. in Bubba Gump.
