Ralph,

Not quite sure what you mean by "Rubber diameter" but the mating connector is
known as or used to be know as the "Bendix Connector". It is basically an AN
or MS3106E--22-2P but with a special coupling nut and long cylindrical
backshell. It is found on some CX-4720 and CX-2031 DC power cables, although
most that I have seen have the two bare terminal lugs on the vehicle end.
Problem with finding the correct cable from the "usual sources" is that the
nomenclature ID's the cable material, length and right angle 4-pin connector
on the radio end, but not how the vehicle end is terminated.

I have a few of the bare connectors and may have the correct cable although
maybe not in the ideal length.

In the M114, he should also install an MX-7778/GRC Supressor Assemble,
Electrical Transient. These were added to the Vietnam era vehicles after the
AN/VRC-12 family and vehicle versions of the AN/PRC-25 came into service.
Supposedly there was a warning plate near the engine start controls that said
not to start the engine with the radio(s) on. Right!

I have a friend trying to mount a correct era radio in an M114 APC they are
restoring.
The M114 has a power outlet which can be seen at:

The desire is to power the radio setup off of this outlet.

Rubber diameter is about 1 1/8 inch and thread diameter is about 1 3/8 inch.
Only two of the 3 pins are used. Keys on socket set the polarity.
