With some arm twisting and a decent carrot, I could probably release my
AN/ARC-9. I do not need to collect every aircraft set of World War 2.
Appropriate carrot might be some cool radar stuff. It would have to be an
odd sort of piece (i.e, no ASB parts). My preference is World War 2 ground
radar, but ship and air radars also rate highly.
Other vegetables to use would be military radio gear from the 1920s or
30s. Something as small as a control box or dynamotor could get you that
AN/ARC-9.
For those folks that need every AN/ARC out there, I have some oddballs for
trade or sale. AN/ARC-57s. These are the UHF sets used in the B-58
Hustler, and are somewhat odd Magnavox things. One of the odd things is
that they have no cases. Apparently the chassis slipped directly into
something on the airframe.
Good possibility these things could be dragged to MRCG.
