I meant to add that AN/ARC-2 sets were still installed on USN TS-2 =
twin-radial engine training aircraft at NAS Corpus Christi in 1972.  I =
also saw an R-23/ARC-5 range receiver installed next to it.  Some of =
these items had long service lives!  An aviation electronics tech there =
told me they weren't often used, but they still had to kept in working =
order.
