Eric,

R-808/GRC-14 was used with T-631/GRC-14.  The set was a competitor (the only 
competitor?) to the AN/GRC-19.  The two replaced SCR-506 (and actually some 
hold-over SCR-193 I think).  Transmitter weighs a ton.  As a set, AN/GRC-14 
was fielded as AN/MRC-55, which is what you would have to look for to locate 
a manual on it.  Manual is NAVSHIPS 92911 (A) Volumes 1 & 2.  

The connector family is typical of the era, except that all original cables 
issued (according to photos anyway) were cathedral rather than dogbone type.  
R-808 power connector is same as on R-392, except that on R-392 you can only 
use the harder to locate dogbone type because its connector is recessed into 
the front panel casting.
