I probably should have reworded my last email. Everyone's points are well
taken and I agree.

I understand the Harris manuals are worth what they charge. Having designed
equipment in the past and then having to do the user manual, it takes a huge
effort between the design engineers and the tech pub group. Something I
always dreaded at the end of the project, the no fun part of documentation.
The quality level of their manuals shows the amount of effort (expense)
involved in creating it. What they charge probably doesnt break even in the
end. I also understand they are busy trying to support contract customers
(probably with an under staffed tech support group) and dont have much time
to devote to some individual who bought their equipment for pennies on the
dollar.

I'm sure the Toronto crew are good guys in a similar situtation and are glad
to support their own paying AM-7223 customers.

Unfortunately, my friend falls in the non-Harris contract, non-Toronto
customer category...
