Wow, you are nuts. Just don't pull out the engraving tool.

Anyway, a few thoughts about this "problem". It may not actually be a 
problem at all. It would not suprise me one bit if the three (four, if 
you count the box) main units of this set were swapped around in the 
field. This was obviously done during World War 2 with other sets, so I 
suppose that the SCR-178 is no exception.

On the other hand, I have to wonder if any SCR-178s of this order (the 
last or next to the last) were ever taken out of there crates before the 
end of the war. These, along with a few of the other 1930s sets that were 
produced in 1940 and 1941 becuase the tooling was there...
