I had occasion to hear a P2V in flight at an airshow some years ago - I
can't testify to interior noise, but the superchargers certainly make a
unique whistle.  I asked the aircrew about it afterwards - they were
justifiably proud of their accomplishment, keeping that fuel and oil hog
in the air ... I have a commemorative button here somewhere: (I can't
remember the ship's name) it featured a scantily-dressed female in a
provocative pose (what else is new ...)		e
