The LR-1 probably is a very precise VFO for zero-beating with an
unknown freq to measure it.
A bolometer is a small heat sensor, used to measure power output.
They were invented by astronomers for use at the focus of a
telescope to measure energy from stars, and later were adapted to
do the same thing from radio sources.
Do _please_ be careful. The warnings about hantavirus are valid.
I don't know if it's got to the Islands yet, and hope it hasn't,
but you should play it safe.
