[Milsurplus] TRC-7 Transceiver?

Hi Dave,

I've got the RT-53B receiver portion of the TRC-7 in my collection.
Evidently, it's not a single unit system (RX/TX combo). It seems your query
implies it may be a single unit (such as the RT-66, et al) by your use of
the word "transceiver".

The receiver is a separate unit reminding me of our classic WWII Command
sets. It's the good ol' olive drab color typical of the 50's Army gear. I
recall getting it maybe around 20 or so years ago at a local hamfest and
have kept a rather casual eye open for any TMs, mounts, mating TX, etc.
over the years. I haven't thought much about it since the mid-90's though
probably because of the dearth of info.

I have not studied it for a lo-oong time but can happily pull it off the
shelf and answer any questions you (and anybody else) may have. I'll
especially be happy if I can learn more about it myself! What prompts your
query Dave?

I always thought it was sort of an uncommon item to come across given the
silence I used to get when looking for related TRC-7 stuff.

Regards,
Chris
