Further note on the bearing nomenclature.  Be sure to look for and record
all the prefixes and suffixes.  At 8000 rpm, these are at least precision
bearings, and if WW2 vintage, they are probably double precision.  These
distinctions will be picked up in the minor variations in the basic model
number.  And, even the double precision bearings aren't wildly expensive,
and as far as I have experienced, all sizes are usually available from
even modestly stocked bearing distributors.

And, the comments on lubricants are on target, although the proper lube
is undoubtedly listed in the depot repair manual.  On the other hand, if
they are double shielded bearings (enclosed on both sides), then special
techniques are often necessary to remove and replace the shields without
damaging them.

Finally, I thought Mr. Brinnell spelled his name with two Ns and 2 Ls.
